Last week the news broke that famed loudspeaker manufacturer, Bowers & Wilkins, had teamed up with Love In Training to become one of the film’s technological sponsors. The idea behind having technological sponsors like Bowers & Wilkins (among others) is that I want to make the film using tools and methods readily available to consumers; through which I hope to educate and also inspire others to perhaps make their own films or dreams a reality. Part of that process is sharing with you not only what I’ve done creatively, but what tools I’ve used along the way.
I’ve been a Bowers & Wilkins customer for many years and their brand is one that I stand by personally -and now professionally. Truth be told my sound team and I actually used Bowers & Wilkins loudspeakers during the mixing process of April Showers though we didn’t really volunteer that information too much at the time because the notion of using consumer-grade loudspeakers in a professional mix was rather unheard of. Well, as it turned out, the move to consumer products resulted in a better theatrical mix over the pro speakers we had been using up to that point. It was that experience that caused me to want to reach out and work with Bowers & Wilkins again on Love In Training.
To kick off our creative partnership Bowers & Wilkins has graciously given production a pair of their new, $199, P3 headphones to give away to two lucky fans. All you have to do is become a fan of Andrew Robinson Online on Facebook or Twitter and you’ll automatically be entered to win. No gimmicks. No hassle. Just like Andrew Robinson Online on Facebook or follow me on Twitter and you’re automatically entered to win. At the end of the month I will draw two names at random, one from Facebook and one from Twitter, and if your name is chosen you’ll be the recipient of a brand new pair of P3 headphones courtesy of Bowers & Wilkins and Love In Training. Simple. So, become a fan today!
For my professional opinion on Bowers & Wilkins’ new P3 headphones you can read my review at Home Theater Review. Also, a very special thanks to Nicoll PR for their support of Love In Training and also helping to arrange this special sweepstakes.
