Leading DLP projector manufacturer, SIM2, partners with independent film, Love In Training, to supply cinema quality DLP projectors for the film’s color grading suites.

[FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE] Los Angeles, CA -September 19, 2012 - Italian DLP projector manufacturer, SIM2, hot off their new CEDIA 2012 product announcements has partnered with the independent film Love In Training as the film’s official DLP technology sponsor. SIM2 has been a global leader in the home and professional cinema space, manufacturing industry leading DLP based projectors for the most discerning clients; among which include famed directors and producers.

The film’s writer director, Andrew Robinson, had this to say about SIM2, “my relationship with SIM2 is one that has spanned several years and over that time I’ve had the opportunity to demo and even live with several of their projectors, so when it came time to pick a DLP partner for my next film the choice, for me, was obvious.” Robinson went on to say, “In a recent test between one of SIM2′s projectors and an industry competitor boasting true 4K capability the less expensive, HD model, from SIM2 outperformed the ‘higher quality’ 4K projector in both our lab and subjective viewing tests.”

The post production team behind Love In Training have chosen SIM2′s NERO projector; a single chip DLP projector from the company’s Premium Domino Line of single chip projectors. The NERO boasts Italian styling, SIM2′s patented ALPHAPATH light engine with precision optics and SIM2′s own active 3D technology. The NERO is available now via select SIM2 dealers and certified custom installers and retails for $ 20,000.

About Love In Training

Love In Training is the second feature length film from independent filmmaker Andrew Robinson. Love In Training is a light-hearted romantic comedy loosely based on Robinson’s own experiences working at a private wildlife facility. A portion of the film’s budget, as well as proceeds, are being donated to wildlife conservation efforts around the globe.

Robinson’s previous film, April Showers, starring Tom Arnold (True Lies) and Illeana Douglas (To Die For) dealt with the trauma and psychological impact a Columbine like school shooting has upon the survivors and surrounding communities. April Showers was written and directed by Robinson, who was a senior at Columbine High School during the April 20, 1999 shootings. April Showers was released theatrically in 18 cities nationwide in 2009 before later being acquired by WarnerVOD for distribution via video on demand (VOD) and streaming services.
